Berkeley will soon have a spot to grab a piping hot slice of Indian-fusion pizza. Curry Pizza House is slated to take over the former Raretea space at 2380 Telegraph Ave., located between Channing and Durant, according to a recent Zoning Clearance issued by City of Berkeley.
Franchise owner Deny Patel confirms that Curry Pizza House in Berkeley is scheduled to open on March 1, 2022. The 2,250 square-foot space is currently being remodeled into a fast-casual pizza restaurant with ovens and indoor dining.
Patel says that his location will offer the same great flavors served at existing Curry Pizza House locations. This includes Curry Craft Pizzas such as Chicken Tikka, Shahi Paneer, Butter Chicken, and more.
Their Classic Pizzas include more traditional flavors such as Meat Lover’s and Hawaiian. There is also the option to build your own pizza, as well as a selection of Small Plates, Wings, and Salads.
Curry Pizza House was founded in Fremont in 2012 by Gursewak Gill and Gurmail “Romy” Gill. As first-generation Indian-Americans, they were inspired by authentic Indian cooking and the pizza they grew up eating in the States.
Their business has now expanded to 11 locations throughout the Bay Area and still have more on the way. For more information and updates on the Berkeley location, visit currypizzahouse.com.
